Hello,

I am in Jakarta on business until 25 April. I am interested to visit Krakatau for a one day or overnight trip during next weekend (22 April to 24 April). However, I am only here by myself, and I think it will be too expensive to do a tour alone. Is there a possibility to join another tour group to share the cost? If so, can you send additional details and price?

Edward: Krakatau Trip

I took a 4-day/3-night trip to the volcano for diving and trekking in April, 2010. The experience was all I expected and more.

From a customer-service point of view, the staff at Krakatau Trail are first-rate. Given the relative lack of competing agencies in the area, that's particularly impressive. I dealt with Bobo and Sam, but ran into some of the other staff, too, and all were very personable.

Pros:

Speedy response to emails during the planning phase

Best pricing among the local agents, especially for longer trips

No hidden costs – just the quoted amount

Extremely knowledgeable and helpful guide

Excellent selection of provisions for my trip (food, drinks, toiletries, etc.)

Cons:
